8:30 a.m. Start at the Lido Beach pavilion, 400 Benjamin Franklin Dr., for a shoreline walk. Noon. Order Columbia's tableside 1905 Salad at 411 St. Armands Cir. 45 minutes before sunset. Return to Lido and walk north until the beach finds its softer volume.
9 a.m. Sunday brunch at Siesta Key Oyster Bar, 5238 Ocean Blvd. 11 a.m. Walk Siesta Beach from the main pavilion at 948 Beach Rd. One hour before sunset. Follow the sound to the weekly drum circle south of the pavilion.

8 a.m. Circle Waterside Park beside Kingfisher Lake. 9:15 a.m. Coffee at O&A, 1570 Lakefront Dr. 10 a.m. Work through more than 100 vendors at the Farmers' Market at Lakewood Ranch, 1561 Lakefront Dr., and pause for the scheduled local musician.

8 a.m. Make a breakfast loop at the Venice Florida Farmers Market, 401 W. Venice Ave. 10:30 a.m. Walk or ride from Legacy Park, 395 E. Venice Ave. 45 minutes before sunset. Meet at the Venice Beach pavilion, 101 The Esplanade, and take the boardwalk toward the Gulf.

Twelve outdoor hard courts with permanent nets and lines, floodlit for evening play, and free to use. There is no reservation system and no membership, so courts run first come, first served. Saturdays around 6 p.m. are the busiest stretch, and weekday mornings are the quietest.

Open play in the gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., which makes it the dependable option in August heat or heavy rain. Play pauses during spring, summer and winter kids camps.

A 14,000 square foot climbing gym running yoga and group fitness classes alongside the walls. Open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, until midnight on Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

A free 5K every Wednesday, meeting at 6 p.m. with the run starting at 6:10, routed through downtown and along the Bayfront. Runners, joggers and walkers are all welcome. A punch card records attendance, and ten finishes earns a glass.
